On March 4, 2026, BAID proudly hosted its annual Student of the Year Award Ceremony. Faculty and students gathered together to witness this momentous occasion, honoring those who, through dedication and perseverance, turned their dreams into reality and painted their youth with the colors of achievement throughout 2025. Hailing from different grades, these honorees shared the same commitment and resolve, shining brightly on the stages of academic exploration, athletics and the arts, and volunteer service. Through their words and actions, they embodied the qualities and responsibilities that define a BAIDer.
Chai Mutian
She is focused and diligent, excelling academically with straight A+ grades and the highest overall score, a TOEFL score of 113, and 18 honors including Student of the Month. As class president, she organized poetry recitals, directed dramas, and designed bulletin boards, consistently earning accolades. She is also warmhearted and helpful, putting the spirit of humanity into practice.
She is unafraid of challenges, standing out in English speech and debate competitions, integrating art into STEM courses, and improving chemistry experiments, demonstrating both logic and creativity.
She is multitalented: her paintings received an award at a United Nations art exhibition, and she remains dedicated to piano and ballet. On the athletic field, she won the relay championship at the sports meet and holds a national Level 3 figure skating certification. She also served as a flag bearer at the opening ceremony of an international competition. She is the "little sun" of her class, radiating warmth and strength.
Feng Yancheng
From international education to local classrooms, he writes a compelling story of growth through diligence and responsibility. Facing vastly different academic systems, he made the most of evening study sessions, working hard to catch up. As a biology class representative, he patiently explained concepts, warming the collective with his dedication.
He also extended his potential into broader horizons: his TOEFL score was impressive, and he proactively knocked on the door of scientific research. From iGEM and BBO to GPSI, every step of exploration reflects his quest for science. His participation in United Nations volunteer services further demonstrates his care for society.

Zhang Yiwen
He develops comprehensively. As a member of the Student Council's Publicity Committee, he uses his refined skills to create campus promotional videos. As class president, he builds a bridge between teachers and students, fostering class cohesion.
Academically, he pursues knowledge with rigor, earning the Midterm Academic Achiever Award and advancing to the international round of the IMMC mathematical modeling competition. He possesses both creativity and leadership, founding the BA school model club to enrich campus culture. As a member of the flag honor guard, he fulfills his duty with steadfast commitment.
He is cheerful and excels in both liberal arts and sciences, performing outstandingly in class, publicity, academics, clubs, and service. He is an exemplary student who excels in both character and learning, a shining example of comprehensive development.
Lin Zhilu
She is a steady climber on the academic ladder, consistently ranking among the top students. Her essays were selected for the school publication, and she achieved breakthroughs in economics. She actively participated in Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management sharing sessions and the GPSI program, and enjoys helping classmates with their questions.
On the sports field, she is a relentless pursuer: her dedication to the flag honor guard, her organization of and participation in the school sports meet, her strong performances in tennis and the inter-class basketball league, and her runner-up finish in the long-distance running festival all speak to her athletic spirit.
In practice, she is a bold creator. The "Emotional Energy Corner" she founded received widespread acclaim. As a CTB team leader, she efficiently completed reports, and she coordinated class parties. He Yizhen

In the arts, her digital artwork won an award at the Venice Youth Art Competition, her paintings were exhibited on campus, her essays were published in newspapers, and she led the design of age-friendly products. She is multitalented, advancing to the finals of Sing! BA. Feng Jingyan
She respects teachers, honors elders, and unites with classmates, practicing the way of "humanity" with a sincere heart. From volunteering at the United Nations 80th Anniversary "Youth Dialogue" to serving at BA Lectures and her steadfast commitment to the flag honor guard, she demonstrates responsibility and sentiment.
She studies with focus and efficiency, consistently ranking among the top of her grade, shining with the light of "wisdom." As a member of the Student Council, she contributed to column editing and academic event planning, and was selected for the GPSI program, broadening her knowledge. As class president, she took on heavy responsibilities, coordinating affairs and planning homeroom sessions, displaying the demeanor of a "courageous" person and earning Student of the Month. She "delights" in hosting assemblies and celebrations, participating in leadership summits, demonstrating outstanding talents. She shows literary grace at the Zhongqiu Poem Festival and athletic prowess on the sports field.

He Yili
He is a navigator in the sea of knowledge, cutting through waves of learning with near-ascetic self-discipline.
He never flaunts his excellence, yet whenever a classmate is confused, he bends down to explain, letting his clear-streaming logic dispel the fog of difficulty. He is the silent guardian of his class, often the last to leave, checking details, handling unfinished matters, turning routine tasks into medals of strict self-discipline. He is the perfect teammate on the green field and a leaping note on the stage.
He demonstrates excellence through action: completing every task meticulously, wiping the blackboard clean, answering questions well, and being the first to step into line when the collective calls. He is a quintessential representative of a Beijing Academy outstanding student.
Fan Tingxin
He is gentle as jade with smiling eyes, cheerful and optimistic, serving as the "sunshine boy" of his class. He always uses witty remarks and hearty laughter to dissolve anxiety and liven up the atmosphere.
As a mental health committee member, he dedicatedly builds a "spiritual sanctuary" for teacher-student communication, conducting over a hundred mental health lectures. He became a "happiness little speaker" in workshops, planning activities like "Paper Airplanes" and "Healing Paws" to ease stress and warm hearts. He also served as host for cross-campus friendship events, connecting bonds with humor and wisdom.
Academically, he excels and proactively opened a "study star mini-class" to help classmates improve together. An Yuehan
She is focused and passionate, excelling academically, and extends her passion to genetic engineering, educational equity, and accessibility science promotion. For two consecutive years, she participated in the iGEM competition and won global gold awards. She conducted field research on educational equity in rural townships and committed to building accessible laboratory spaces.
She demonstrates outstanding leadership as class president and Secretary of the Academics Committee of the Student Council. She organized class and school academic activities, maintained the BAID Speaker platform, and supported peer growth. She loves life and the stage—a debater at Model United Nations and a shining star in musicals.

Li Jia
She is focused and resolute, excelling academically, and channels her dedication into birdwatching and ecological research. Focusing on the impact of traffic noise on bird vocalizations, she honed her scientific research thinking through field recording, data organization, and statistical analysis, refining her approach through repeated scrutiny.
She participated in research projects guided by overseas university professors, completing high-quality papers and presenting them publicly under mentor guidance, possessing rigorous academic presentation skills.
From research papers to animated science communication to musical theater, from data recording to field expeditions to interdisciplinary exploration, she exemplifies the depth of wisdom through patience and self-discipline, and the resilience of excellence through her approach of rising to challenges.
Zhao Wangshu
She consistently approaches learning and growth with a steady, focused attitude. She excels academically, consistently ranking among the top of her grade. She received the Grand Prize Nomination in the Greater China region for the IMMC mathematical modeling competition, participated in GPSI and overseas university-led research projects, delving deeply into the relationship between AI and human society. She also conducted mathematical modeling research on financial fraud targeting the elderly. In various projects, she not only demonstrated solid academic abilities but also possessed the thinking and vision to use mathematical tools to solve real-world problems.
She actively participated in the "2025 USA-China Youth Ping Pong Humanities Exchange China Tour" project organized by the Ministry of Education's Humanities Exchange Center. She and her classmates warmly received the teacher and student delegation from Montgomery County School District, Maryland, USA. She also represented Beijing students in an online cultural exchange event at the Chinese Embassy in the United States, echoing President Xi Jinping's ambitious "50,000 in 5 Years" initiative.

Xu Haochen
In the classroom, he wields his pen as a sword and diligence as his path, inscribing excellent grades in the mountains of books and sea of knowledge.
On the field, he moves like the wind, with sweat as his ink, carving out the edge of youth on the red track. In basketball and soccer class competitions, although his team's chances of winning were slim, he was the hope of the entire class.
He and his "Salmayonnaise Group" teammates achieved TOP 5% performance at the Harvard Global Youth Research and Innovation Forum—Global Site, earning the Global First Prize. He demonstrates through action that stillness allows one to pursue distant goals, while movement can ignite the entire arena.
Sun Ruojin
She pursues academic excellence with an unwavering spirit. Since entering Grade 10, she first won the Academic Progress Award, followed by consecutive Academic Achiever Awards, consistently ranking among the top of her grade. Since joining BAID, in just 11 months, her TOEFL score improved from 50 to nearly 110. She also completed SAT preparation and testing, and was named an Outstanding Student Cadre of Chaoyang District.
She is brave to explore and unite knowledge with action. She independently completed the Elite Scholar research project "Analysis of the Popularity and Impact of MBTI Personality Tests Among High School Students." During summer vacation, she participated in national-level cultural relic restoration with experts, earning an Excellence rating and related certificates. She is now selected for an international research project, conducting full-English research with overseas professors.

Ma Zihan
She is optimistic and upbeat, with outstanding leadership. From a member to the Secretary of the Activities Committee, she coordinated and planned major events like Sing! BA and International Theme Week, with hundreds of participants. She co-hosted the United Nations 80th Anniversary "Youth Dialogue" event, demonstrating exceptional leadership and infectious energy.
As president of the Physics and Engineering Club, she innovated activities, leading members in building water rockets to attract new students. In competitions, she won the BPhO Global Top Gold Award and the Physics Bowl Gold Award.
She developed an intelligent medication box system that won a national third prize and served as a blood donation volunteer. She aspires to become "a caring liberal-arts-and-sciences scholar, an executor who commands the situation," practicing the school motto "Better Me, Better World."
Zhang Tengyu
He loves the arts, and the piano in the lobby has become the stage for his daily display of talent. As class president, he is steady, responsible, and courageous, becoming the core and bridge trusted by both teachers and students, from daily management to fostering collective spirit. He enjoys exploration, persisting in breaking through boundaries, writing a brilliant high school chapter.
On the path of academics and innovation, he climbs the summit: leading the iGEM school team to win the Paris Silver Award, and guiding teams to secure gold medals. In the Beijing Culture Exploration Program "Grand Canal" program, the MFP "Sustainable Development" project-based course, he designed interactive installations and fabricated robotic arms, demonstrating hardcore strength through innovative thinking and practical ability.
He integrates leadership spirit into public welfare and service: as a dietary committee representative, he advocated for cafeteria improvements, and conveyed warmth through charity sales. Nearing graduation, he proactively became an "inheritor," sharing experience and supporting junior students, demonstrating the vision and responsibility of a young leader.
Li Guo
She is hardworking and dedicated, excelling academically, often focusing on studies on the fourth floor of Guang'an Building. In class, she is attentive and actively thinks, an outstanding student in her teachers' eyes. Her language learning achieved leapfrog improvement, making her a top performer among her peers.
She proactively participates in academic competitions across multiple fields, promoting learning through competition, systematically studying economics and mathematics, and transforming textbook content into the ability to solve practical problems. Beyond academics, she is multitalented and develops comprehensively: as a publicity committee member, she dedicates herself to designing class bulletin boards. On the athletic field, she fights valiantly. In activities, she serves as host and volunteer.

Bai Xicheng
He is low-key and reserved, yet always steps forward when the collective needs him. On the soccer field, he organizes offense and defense. In crew, he rows with full effort, building bridges of communication through sweat. From guiding new campus tours to the Zhongqiu Poem Festival and International Theme Week, his volunteer presence is everywhere.
As secretary of the Sports Department, he coordinated schedules and directed training. He won dual championships in the 100-meter and 800-meter events, and fought shoulder to shoulder with teammates in relay races. Academically, he studies unremittingly, serving as physics and chemistry class representative. His works were published in the school magazine, he participated in PBL curriculum design, advanced to the IEO International Economics Olympiad, and consistently ranks at the top of his class.

Guan Yinan
She is focused on academics, excelling and consistently ranking among the top of her grade. She actively participates in various academic competitions, winning frequent accolades in mathematical modeling, bioengineering, economics, and other fields. She has won international competition gold awards and numerous national and Greater China region awards, and performed outstandingly in multiple high-level research projects.
She enjoys taking on responsibilities. As president of the Arts Club, she actively organized campus art activities and curated exhibitions. In the Academics Committee, she participated in planning BAID Speaker sessions, academic walls, and Academic Week, and hosted BA Lectures multiple times. She served as class director for the Drama Festival twice, leading her team to win numerous awards in school-level competitions.
She is passionate about public welfare, actively participating in the "Wish Upon A Star" student initiative, bringing aesthetic education courses to children of migrant workers. Using the twenty-four solar terms as a theme, she conducted handicraft and art teaching, conveying warmth through art and lighting up hope through action.
