#WeAreBAID | Built by BAID students with Tsinghua mentors, this navigation app serves 700+ blind users in five countries and has been presented at multiple conferences.
After my unforgettable experience with the blind student, I learned that BAID offered an accessibility research program in partnership with Tsinghua University Institute for Accessibility Development. I signed up immediately.

BAID students tackle machine learning with University of Cambridge Professor Girolami.
With dedicated guidance from my physics teacher, Ren Jing, and my mathematics teacher, Zhang Mingming, I committed myself fully to the project and independently designed and built a compact robotic arm based on Arduino Nano.

#WeAreBAID | Every student conducts original research on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and completes an academic capstone in the Major Foundation Program.

Bring Your Projects, Make a Difference.
BAID students bring their projects beyond campus and into the community. Drawing on their research, they support older adults and take environmental action, applying their findings to help more people and make the world a better place.

#WeAreBAID | BAID Humanity Club students rescued 17 stray cats, funded their work through original merchandise, and wrote a 5,000-word paper detailing their practice.
I designed cartoon characters for our campus cats, Xiaomizhou and Zimizhou. The BAID Humanity Club and our student company used my designs to create merchandise that students and teachers loved.

Quote
At Beijing Academy, we support students' creative growth. Three metaphors best describe our approach.
A Forest
We want our school to offer the diversity of a tropical forest, respecting each child's differences and supporting every student in becoming their best self.
A Fishery
True education opens a "fishery" of opportunity, helping children develop the courage to brave the waves, the wisdom to steer their ships, and the creativity to chart their own course.
An Orchestra
In an orchestra, each person expresses their own voice and listens to others. We help children become their best selves and contribute to society.
— Xia Qingfeng, Principal of Beijing Academy
