About Us
Founded in September 2013 with approval from the Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Academy is a public comprehensive school run by the Chaoyang District Government, providing twelve years of primary and secondary education. Guided by our motto "Better Me, Better World," we aim to offer a modern education rooted in Beijing, grounded in China, and engaged in the world.
Beijing Academy launched its pilot international education class in 2017, and in 2020, its Sino-US cooperative curriculum program received approval from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. An integrated curriculum was developed in partnership with Glen Rock High School in the United States. Accredited by both CIS and WASC and authorized by the College Board, Cambridge International, and ACT-GAC, we anchor our program in the national curriculum while offering 22 AP courses and a broad range of school-based electives (shared with the Gaokao track), alongside a complete framework for experiential learning and college counseling.
Since the inaugural graduating class of 2020, our students have gained admission to Ivy League and top-10 US universities for seven consecutive years. Our graduates have received offers from Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, Caltech, Johns Hopkins, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Northwestern, as well as from all five UK G5 universities—Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and University College London. Our students have also matriculated at universities across an increasingly diverse range of countries and regions, including Canada, Australia, Hong Kong SAR China, France, Japan, and New Zealand.
