The first day of the Theme Week was launched with a wonderful Teacher's Mini Stage! Four teachers transformed into cultural ambassadors, guiding us through the customs and traditions of different countries:

  • Mr. Ted showcased the vibrant national flowers of South America;
  • Mr. Michael shared handcrafted Christmas figurines and entertaining videos;
  • Mr. Travis used engaging film clips to let us experience the unique charm of Jamaica;
  • Mr. Alireza introduced us to the mystique of Islamic culture and beautiful songs.

Naturally, the most exciting part was the Campus Treasure Hunt! Students who found Easter eggs gathered in the first-floor lobby to redeem stickers. The foreign teachers' sharing session concluded successfully in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, and everyone gained a wealth of unique cultural knowledge from around the world.

Behind the Scenes: Voices from the Activities Committee

A week-long, school-wide event of this scale would not have been possible without the hard work of every staff member. As the event came to a successful close, let us hear from the members of the Activities Committee:

This was my first time being deeply involved in and taking charge of organizing the school's International Theme Week. Over more than three days of immersive dedication, I not only witnessed the vibrant interplay of diverse cultures but also gained profound personal growth and inspiration through hands-on experience.

During the preparation phase, I volunteered to join the preliminary work for Tuesday's Knowledge Quiz. To help students experience the cultural charm of different countries through fun interaction, I carefully created Quizlet online study cards so that everyone could familiarize themselves with the key facts in advance. At the same time, I worked hard to mobilize students' enthusiasm for participation, making the quiz an entertaining and educational cultural feast.

After Wednesday's Thanksgiving activity officially began, I distributed cookies, chocolate candies, and marshmallows for students to decorate creatively. Watching everyone sit together, outlining their creative ideas with colorful chocolate, my heart was filled with warmth. After the activity ended, I did not hurry away but stayed behind to carefully tidy up the venue, sorted the waste, and arranged the tables and chairs neatly, ensuring the space was restored to its original state.

As one of the core organizers for Friday's activities, I arrived early to set up the venue. From organizing various activity materials to checking supply inventories, I strove for thoroughness in every detail. We prepared rubber stamps, blank lacquer fans, and paints in various colors, aiming to let students experience the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern creativity through hands-on creation. During the activity, I guided participants step by step, encouraging everyone to unleash their imagination and create one-of-a-kind works.

This International Theme Week experience gave me a genuine sense of the power of teamwork and helped me enhance my organizational skills and sense of responsibility through serving others. From meticulous planning in the preparation phase, to flexible adaptability during the event, to the thorough cleanup afterward — every stage was a lesson in personal growth.

Conclusion

The 2025 BAID International Theme Week, 'Holiday Charm,' has officially come to a close!

Thank you to every student and teacher who participated. It was your enthusiasm and smiles that gave this event its perfect meaning. We also thank all the behind-the-scenes heroes who provided assistance, designed posters, and set up the venues.

The stamp passports may be filled with stickers, but the journey of exploring diverse cultures never stops. Let us carry this winter's warmth and good fortune into the new year!

See you at next year's International Theme Week!
