Building on the framework of the 2025 Harmony · Toward the Future summit, BAID Student Council Executive Board member Sun Yukun joined forces with An Yuehan from BAID; Xu Xiaohan and Wang Yilin from the International Department of Beijing National Day School; Lian Lian and Ma Hanshuo from Aidi School; Zhang Yunshu and Bai Mochen from the International Department of RDFZ Chaoyang Branch School; and Guo Xinyi from Haidian Kaiwen Academy to create a platform for project innovation and interdisciplinary exchange among students in international high school programs.

Scale of the Event

The summit welcomed students, faculty, and parents from 25 schools. Compared with the more academic tone of previous forums, this year's event introduced a stronger sense of ceremony and a more interactive, energetic atmosphere. It expanded into a cross-school summit that balanced interdisciplinary thinking with subject depth, while combining academic exploration with engaging activities.

The program also introduced student-led workshops, invited sponsors to support promising projects, and used multiple online channels to recruit a wider range of creative exhibition booths.

Breakout Workshops

The summit then moved into one of its most anticipated sessions: the breakout workshops. Four workshops explored Basic Science, Technology & Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Artistic Expression, each offering interactive activities designed and facilitated by students.

Students including Xue Xiaozhi from the International Department of Beijing National Day School and Jiang Muxuan from the International Department of RDFZ Chaoyang Branch School served as activity designers and hosts, creating engaging experiences such as murder mystery role-play sessions that combined entertainment with reflection and learning.

Among the workshops, An Yuehan organized the Basic Science × Inclusion session. The workshop incorporated a wheelchair experience, an activity involving the communication of information viewed through a microscope, and a gene-circuit building challenge using blocks. These activities invited participants to consider the question: How can science become more accessible?

The diverse backgrounds of students from different schools brought new perspectives into the discussion, while friendships deepened through collaboration and exchange.

Booth Exhibitions

The exhibition featured 26 creative booths presented by students from BAID, Aidi School, the International Department of Beijing National Day School, the International Department of RDFZ Chaoyang Branch School, Harrow, and Meigao.

Projects covered a wide range of academic and social fields, including behavioral analysis and social research, art and design, biochemistry and health screening, student organization management and community service, innovation and entrepreneurship, business planning, digital media and information technology, intercultural exchange, and social science theory. Together, they reflected students' broad interest in real-world issues and their willingness to approach them through interdisciplinary thinking.

Students introduced their projects through display boards, product sales, interactive games, and physical demonstrations. The exhibition area remained busy throughout the session, filled with conversation, experimentation, and creative energy.

Closing

As the summit drew to a close, a representative from one of the sponsors presented cash awards to three of the most popular exhibition projects. Discussions continued around the booths even as the formal program ended, with ideas still being exchanged and new connections continuing to form.

Students from different schools had met through dialogue, learned through collaboration, and left with new perspectives. With that, the youth-led cross-school summit came to a successful conclusion.
