Alireza Pourbakhtiar holds a Ph.D. in Transport in Porous Media from the School of Engineering at the University of Liverpool. His doctoral research combined experimental work with numerical modeling. He also holds an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology in northern Sweden and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Chamran University in southern Iran.
Alireza has research experience in a soil mechanics laboratory and has also taught at the university level, including courses in Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Engineering. He has been teaching Physics at BAID since September 2024.
Alireza speaks Persian and English. He has published research articles in high impact academic journals and contributed a book chapter. His work has also been presented at international conferences. Having lived in five different countries, he considers China one of the most enjoyable places he has lived. His academic interests include the fascinating fields of Quantum Physics and Astrophysics.
