Ilija Medar has more than ten years of teaching experience with primary, middle, and high school students across Europe and China. He holds a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, a field that reflects his longstanding interest in language and storytelling. One of the aspects of teaching he values most is connecting with students through a shared appreciation of compelling stories and the distinctive features of language.
In his classes, Ilija encourages students to see how language and storytelling connect people across cultures, places, and generations. He invites them to engage with different perspectives and develop confidence in their own voices as readers and writers.
Outside the classroom, Ilija is an avid fan of science fiction and fantasy and is always ready to discuss imaginary worlds. He also enjoys heavy metal music and previously competed in powerlifting. Whether exploring a fictional universe or examining an unusual expression, he aims to bring a strong sense of curiosity and discovery to his teaching.
