BAID Cultural & Creative Club

President: Yang Ruixi

BAID Cultural & Creative Store was independently founded by Beijing Academy International Division graduate Zhang Yunxiang under the guidance of an economics teacher. It serves as a platform for integrating creative product design with economic practice. Since its establishment in 2021, several teams have successively collaborated to incorporate Beijing Academy’s unique campus culture and educational philosophy into their creative products. All profits from product sales are used to support the school’s charitable projects, not only spreading campus culture but also actively supporting student-led initiatives. Whether through educational assistance or financial aid, the organization consistently focuses on both local and distant communities, earning widespread support and recognition from teachers and students alike.

BAID Cultural & Creative Store upholds the core values of “inheriting campus culture and inspiring creativity,” with the ultimate goal of “making every effort a positive influence and making the world a better place.” Through creative and educationally meaningful products, the store conveys the unique philosophy of the school. Here, students not only pursue commercial value but also bear social responsibility, practicing the school’s motto, “Better Me, Better World.”

Following the operational philosophy of “People around me and the infinite beyond are all connected to me,” BAID Cultural & Creative Store is actively involved in public welfare. Through the sale of cultural and creative products, the project has ingeniously incorporated elements such as the school motto, campus stray cats, and brand logo designs, increasing the brand’s recognition. Additionally, by sharing the store’s charitable philosophy and the stories behind each product via an online public account, the store awakens campus memories for teachers and students. The products are positioned to meet the needs of both the school community and external consumers, serving as graduation mementos and gifts. Throughout this process, students remain committed to the belief that “the power to drive social progress comes from every small action.”

Cultural & Creative Product Series

To date, BAID Cultural & Creative Store has successfully launched a variety of products, including cultural and creative notebooks, the first and second editions of the Xiaomi collaboration pens, and the first edition of BAID Cultural & Creative Store folders, all achieving significant results. Additionally, new products, such as the “Optical Illusion” series scarves and wax-dye series notebooks, have been finalized and will soon be launched. After the first edition of the cultural and creative pens was sold out, the team, with the school’s consent, donated part of the profits directly to UNICEF, highlighting the team’s commitment to global humanitarian care. Besides monthly donations to UNICEF, BAID Cultural & Creative Store also initiated the “Student Project Funding Program,” eventually collaborating with the “Daliangshan Material Donation” project and the “Youth Disease Awareness” project, fulfilling the funding needs for student-led public service projects and facilitating more charitable initiatives.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, BAID Cultural & Creative Store will continue to integrate campus culture with social welfare by designing innovative, culturally rich products. The store plans to expand its operations, diversify product lines, and explore a broader range of design elements by blending traditional Chinese crafts with global trends. It will also focus on enhancing product quality and brand influence while channeling profits into charitable projects and supporting student-led initiatives, promoting sustainable business and public welfare.

The Miao group within BAID Cultural & Creative Store is currently designing cultural notebooks with wax-dye elements, and future products may include Miao embroidery and silver. Their goal is to raise awareness and appreciation of Miao culture, helping Maomaohe village women balance work and childcare. By integrating Miao crafts into the market, the project aims to boost local incomes and tourism, creating a sustainable cycle where culture and economy reinforce one another.
